So I heard that your midheaven is who you want to be? Do you think that’s accurate? Because I’m a Sagittarius with a Sagittarius midheaven,so does that mean I’m comfortable with who I am and don’t want to be anything else? I’m sorry if something like this is in your FAQ I looked through it first and couldn’t find anything :x
It’s perfectly fine, and a very good question!
Some people will say that yes, your Midheaven is who you aspire to be.
I personally think it’s slightly different. I see it as: Your Sun is who you’re destined to become. Your Ascendant is who you wish to be seen as. Your Midheaven is what you wish to be seen as. In that manner, the Ascendant is who you wish to be, and your Midheaven what you wish to be.
The Ascendant is the cusp of the first House - the House of self-identity. This House is where we discover just who we are. The Ascendant is how we choose to display those findings to others, which can be seen as who we wish to be.
The Midheaven is the cusp of the Tenth House - the House of career and social standing. This House is where we discover where we fit in with society, and what career/goals we have for ourselves. The Midheaven points towards our achievements, and often what we display of them, which can be seen as what we wish to be.
An example would be;
If you were filling out a dating profile or social network, the way you describe yourself would activate your Ascendant.
If you were filling out a job or college application or building a portfolio, the way you describe yourself and the things you’ve done would activate your Midheaven.
As for your Sagittarius Sun and Midheaven in Sagittarius - you’re career direction, and what you want to be, line up with who you are! Which is a “comfortable” position, yes. As opposed to someone with a Sun in Pisces whom is very timid, feeling tension as they wish to be seen as a leader (Midheaven in Leo).
